Spitalfields Advisors Rebranded as Data Explorers Consulting

Spitalfields Advisors, the leading independent securities lending consultancy, founded by Mark Faulkner in 2004, has been rebranded as Data Explorers Consulting. The rebrand brings The Company into alignment with its sister company, Data Explorers.

Data Explorers, based in New York and London, collects data from market participants to create the world’s most comprehensive and up-to-date database of information and research on stock lending and short interest.

The rebranding is intended to bring added value to existing clients of both companies through expanding the range of forums – such as the North American Securities Lending Forum in New York on June, 10, 2009, and an upcoming series of webinars directed specifically at the beneficial owner community. It will also assist the efforts of the consultancy business as it expands in North America, where the Data Explorers brand is well established.

Under its new name, Data Explorers Consulting will continue to focus on providing research and consulting services to practitioners throughout the securities financing industry. The Company uses performance and risk benchmarking tools to improve beneficial owners understanding of their securities lending program and to facilitate improved discussions with their lending agents.

In addition, The Company also performs ad-hoc consultancy projects and provides unique board reporting to beneficial owners. The reports allow for effective communication to trustees and other board members, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the performance and risk elements of the programmes.
