Securities lending is a growing market within the financial services industry with current estimates of balances on loan standing at greater than USD 5 trillion, resulting in billion dollar revenues being generated globally. Many in the industry believe, as we do, that there remains a real need for a business like discussion about securities lending and related topics. This is why we have launched the Securities Lending Forum in Dubai. Following the success of our annual Securities Lending Forum in London every March, and the Offshore Securities Lending Forum in Luxembourg in 2006 and 2007, we have chosen the Middle East as our destination for 2008.
